- “Ball pythons need small enclosures; they get stressed in big ones.” — Reality: ball pythons need cluttered, well-covered enclosures. Stress in a large open enclosure comes from lack of cover, not the size itself. A 4×2×2 with proper hides and visual barriers is excellent for an adult.
