Handling, and the law

Any animal with a mouth can bite. Ball pythons are among the calmest snakes kept in captivity and they still bite, and a large constrictor is still a strong animal. Handle accordingly, and never alone with a large snake. Laws on keeping, breeding, selling and transporting reptiles differ by country, state and city, and they change. Nothing in this book authorises you to keep or move any animal. Find out what the law is where you are and follow it.
